Nancy Guthrie Update: Officials Say 10,000 Hours of Video Footage is Helping in the Search

The FBI official said that the collection, review and analysis of video is one of the main parts of the investigation and helping in the search. One of the key videos is Ring camera footage, which was obtained by Fox News Digital, that shows a car driving around 2:30 a.m., the same evening Guthrie disappeared.

On Thursday, Feb. 26, the Pima County sheriff’s office said it had access to the video, which was filmed 2.5 miles from Guthrie's home. They are only accessing it now, because 2.5 miles is outside the two-mile perimeter that officials had been looking at for video footage.

FBI Special Agent and Experts Discuss Ongoing Search Efforts for Nancy Guthrie

In a separate report from Fox News Phoenix, former FBI special agent Lance Leising discussed the latest developments and shed light into the phase of the search. The FBI has been back at Nancy Guthrie's residence all week. On Wednesday, Feb. 25, law enforcement were seen at her place, and drone video showed a number of detectives in the backyard of her residence by the pool and through a gate to the pack patio.

"It is common to go back to a crime scene. Whether you are binging new investigators back there, maybe a new agency jumps in and needs to be briefed and wants to see it," Leising said. "Sometimes, you bring lab analysts back there to collect and get a feel for it. Sometimes, prosecutors go to a crime scene later in the investigation."

He added, "All these could be possible. The fact they carried bags of items out, that's a little unusual after the crime occurred. I'd be very curious what those are, and how much value they hold."

On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Savannah Guthrie announced that her family is giving a reward of up to $1 million for her mom's recovery. The Guthrie family has also announced that they will donate $500,000 to the National Center for Missing Children.
