Campbell students part of biggest juried high school art show on record at NUMU

Four Campbell teens are among the 97 artists whose work has been chosen for ArtNow 2026, the annual juried show at New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) for high school students in Santa Clara County.
NUMU received more than 600 submissions from 53 high schools on the theme “Before/Between/Beyond.” Students were welcome to explore before, between or beyond as individual ideas or any combination of the three. The works selected for the show represent 36 high schools,
This show features the largest number of artists ever to exhibit, including Branham High School sophomores Yubin Choi and Annie Liang, and Westmont High School seniors Kaylee Garcia and Lucia Vilchez
The exhibit runs March 27-July 19 at NUMU, located in the Los Gatos Civic Center at 106 E. Main St. An ArtNow Awards Ceremony is set for May 2, 3-6 p.m. Register to attend at https://bit.ly/46oKiXj.
Summer recreation preview
Campbell Recreation is holding an open house on March 7 for families to preview summer activities on offer and meet the instructors. From 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Campbell Community Center, there’ll be a Kids’ Zone featuring art, crafts and activities and hands-on cooking and sports activities led by the Campbell Youth Commission.
Also scheduled are a preschool open house, 10 a.m.-noon; summer swim lesson assessments, 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.; and a free yoga class, 11 a.m.-noon.

Beatles in brass
Canadian Brass will perform in concert with the Peninsula Symphony on March 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Campbell’s Heritage Theatre. The program spans the musical world from Bach to the Beatles.
