Nancy Guthrie Update: Has Blood Been Found Inside Her Home?

On Tuesday, March 3, the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie continues, and questions arose about the status of blood being found in her Tucson, Arizona, home.

Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since Feb. 1, when she was taken from her home. On Monday, March 2, the investigation into the abduction entered its fifth week.

New York-based investigative reporter Michael Ruiz has been reporting on the scene. While reporting, he was asked on social media whether blood has been found directly in Nancy Guthrie's house.

In a post on X, one follower asked, "Has there been confirmation that there was blood found inside the home?"

Ruiz answered with a simple but direct, "No." He also added, "Blood drops on the front porch and no Nancy — would be pretty alarming. Her phone, watch and purse still inside. Car in garage."

Ruiz also shared footage of Savannah Guthrie, her sister Annie and Tommaso Cioni putting flowers at the display near Nancy Guthrie's mailbox.

"I pray for this family and hope that seeing the beautiful tribute of hope and the outpouring of love for their mother will bring them a moment of peace," one follower replied. "Family needs closure and praying this doesn't become a cold case," another said.

Ruiz elaborated on Savannah visiting Nancy's home on Monday. In a Fox News article, he and Christina Dugan Ramirez said that they were "viewing flowers left by supporters."

"The Fox Flight Team drone captured video of her and other family members viewing the items left by well-wishers," they stated in the feature. "Additional video of the visit shows Annie Guthrie, Savannah’s older sister, sobbing during the visit before she, her husband and younger sister placed yellow flowers at the growing display in her mother’s honor. She also left a note addressed to her mother and signed by her and her husband."

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to officials, have shifted resources as the case goes into its fifth week without a publicly named suspect or an arrest. The last time Sheriff Chris Nanos held a news conference was on Feb. 5, according to research from Fox News.

"This remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted," a PCSD spokesman said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
