CENTCOM: Six US Service Members Killed in War with Iran

CENTCOM confirms six US troops killed in the war with Iran as major combat operations continue and officials warn of possible further casualties.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that six American service members have been killed so far in the ongoing war with Iran.

In a statement, CENTCOM said the bodies of two previously missing soldiers were recovered from a facility targeted during the initial wave of Iranian attacks in the region.

The command added that the identities of the deceased will not be released until 24 hours after their next of kin have been notified, in accordance with military policy.

CENTCOM emphasized that major combat operations against Iran are continuing despite the losses.

Earlier, following the deaths of four US soldiers, General Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said further casualties were expected but stressed that efforts are being made to minimize troop losses.

The casualties come amid escalating hostilities between the United States and Iran after large-scale strikes and retaliatory attacks across the region.

US military bases in the Middle East have faced missile and drone attacks in recent days, prompting heightened security measures and expanded combat operations.
