New Jersey-based French-style bakery and pastry shop Paris Baguette announced it will open two new shops in the North Bay within the next year.

The global bakery company reported on its website that it will be opening locations in Marin and Solano counties. The move will expand its footprint around the North Bay; it has one location at 150 Steele Lane in Santa Rosa.

The new location in Novato will be at 15 Rowland Way. It has started construction and will open this summer, according to director of franchise development Krystie Keith.

The company will also expand into Vallejo, with a location planned for 1178 Admiral Callaghan Lane. The Vallejo store will open in 2027, Keith said.

Paris Baguette is a global bakery-café chain founded in 1988 and owned by South Korea’s SPC Group. It specializes in French-inspired breads, pastries, cakes, and sandwiches, with over 4,000 locations worldwide, including in North America. The company in 2025 opened 77 new bakery cafés, executed more than 100 leases and awarded nearly 300 development agreements.

The company currently ranks No. 29 on the Entrepreneur’s prestigious Franchise 500 list for 2026 and No. 1 in the bakery cafe category.

“We’re committed to continued growth as we work to reestablish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community in markets nationwide,” CEO Darren Tipton said in a statement to PR Newsweek in January.
