Watch: Anchor and Meteorologist Clash on Live TV -- They Swear They Don't Hate Each Other

It started as playful banter. Then things got awkward. Fast.

A news anchor and meteorologist made headlines recently after they clashed live during KFDX's 10 p.m. newscast in Wichita Falls, North Texas.

The video shows anchor Carney Porter tossing the segment to chief meteorologist Michael Bohling. Things went down the rails from there, and the video quickly spread on social media.

What Happened?

It seemed so innocuous. Porter had said there was no rain in the forecast, and Bohling didn't let that slide.

"Did you just say there's no rain in the forecast?" he asked, rhetorically.

"In the next few days," Porter shot back.

Apparently, the dispute stemmed from a rain forecast during an event the station had promoted. Porter argued there wasn't rain in the forecast "until the weekend," prompting Bohling to reply, "Well, on the day of the event, I have a chance of rain."

Porter continued to argue that she meant there was no rain "in [the] three or four days coming."

Bohling shot back, "Actually, the rain chance is coming before the event."

Porter wasn't having it, and she put Bohling in his place.

"Stop trying to correct people and just do your job," she said.

They continued arguing. Just watch.

No Love Lost?

Bohling took to his Facebook account and shared a photo of himself and Porter squaring off with red gloves.

They both smiled while posing for the photo at the news station, and Bohling went on to insist that the viral video showing their tense exchange "is just how we mess with each other."

He added, "We tend to lose track of the fact we're on tv at 10pm (we're tired just like you), and sometimes we go over the top lol."

He went on to say that, despite what people saw on TV, he's close with Porter.

"When Carney is having a bad day at work, who does she talk to? Me," he said. "If I’m having a bad day at work, who do I talk to? Carney. When Carney’s car was in the shop, who gave her a ride? Me. When my car was stuck behind a block of ice, who gave me a ride? Carney?

The love fest on Bohling's Facebook went on and on, but it seems fans are not convinced, especially after watching them bicker live.
