Missing 'MobLand'? Guy Ritchie's Next Slick Crime Series Streams Sooner Than You Think
Last year, thanks to all all-star cast and an incredible story, the crime series MobLandbecame one of the coolest, bingeable action shows. Part of that flavor, is of course, the style of Guy Ritchie, the film director who helmed some of the MobLand episodes, but, prior to that was famous for Snatch, and of course, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. So, if you're waiting to get your Guy Ritchie fix, and MobLand Season 2 can't come fast enough, there may be a solution.
Starting on March 4, 2026, the new Guy Ritchie-directed series Young Sherlock will hit Prime Video. Here's why it's worth your time, and why it has that Ritchie magic.
What is Young Sherlock?
Young Sherlock is a new Guy Ritchie series, from showrunner Matthew Parkhill, is a historical crime series all about a version of Sherlock Holmes before he ends up in Baker Street. This Holmes is a 19 year-old hothead, played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin. The show has plenty of great rock music, and a killer cast including Dónal Finn as James Moriarty, Zine Tseng as Princess Gulun, Colin Firth as Sir Bucephalus Hodge, and Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's brother.
And if you're confused as to what kind of vibe this is, and how close to MobLand it might be, keep this in mind: the opening theme music is the song "Days are Forgotten," a rad 2011 track from the rock band Kasabian.
Young Sherlock is like a sideways prequel to the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes movies, with a dash of Peaky Blinders, and equal helpings of of humor, fun, and mystery.
