Micky van de Ven wants to leave Tottenham after having his head turned
Spurs Web has relayed several reports over recent weeks suggesting that contract talks between Van de Ven and Tottenham have ground to a halt, amidst interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
A new report by Sports Boom has claimed that the Dutchman is not willing to speak to Spurs regarding a new deal amid the Lilywhites’ continued struggles in the Premier League.
The centre-back, whose current deal at Tottenham runs until 2029, wants to leave North London at the end of this season.
The outlet adds that the 24-year-old has ‘had his head turned’ by Real Madrid and Barcelona and sees his future away from Spurs.
This does match up with recent reports linking Micky Van de Ven with both Real and Barca.
Are Spurs willing to sell Van de Ven?
SportsBoom say that contrary to recent reports from other sources, Man United are not in the running for the Tottenham defender.
Real Madrid are the current favourites to land Van de Ven, for whom Spurs refused to entertain any approaches during the January window.
The publication adds that Tottenham are expected to demand £100m for the Netherlands international in the summer.
