Denver Broncos Quarterback Bo Nix Announces Major Offseason Personal News

NFL free agency has not officially started, but Bo Nix of the Denver Broncos has already made his most important offseason acquisition.

Nix and his wife Izzy Smoke Nix announced the birth of their first-born daughter on Wednesday. The baby, Riley Belle, officially entered the world on February 25, her father's 26th birthday.

Quite the birthday present

Bo and Izzy revealed they were expecting their first child back in October. In a new Instagram post yesterday, Izzy debuted their daughter to the public.

"Riley Belle Nix ????️ arrived on her dad’s birthday — 2/25/26 at 4:45pm, 6 lbs 11 oz," she captioned the post. "The best birthday party I’ve ever been to!!!!!!"

Izzy also added a bible post alongside photos of herself and her husband with their new bundle of joy.

“'For this child, I have prayed' 1 Samuel 1:27. We are overwhelmed by the goodness of God and immeasurable joy that we have experienced this week! Thank you, Jesus, for choosing us to shepherd over her life," she wrote.

Busy offseason for Bo Nix

Besides his duties as a dad, Bo Nix will spend plenty of time in the coming months continuing to recover from the broken ankle he suffered late in his team's AFC Divisional Round playoff win over the Buffalo Bills.

The injury required surgery and resulted in Nix missing the AFC Championship Game the following week, which the Broncos lost to the New England Patriots.

"The last few days have been hard to put into words," Nix said on Instagram at the time. "What started as one of the most exciting games I’ve ever been a part of ended with some of the most devastating football news I’ve ever received. This is not how I imagined my season would come to an end, but our season has been defined by overcoming adversity and responding to it.

Nix is expected back for minicamp this spring. The 2025 first-round pick is coming off a strong season, in which he threw for 3,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while leading Denver to the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
