The last snow of winter?

A light snow fell on the Troodos mountains on Saturday morning, visible on both the north and south faces of the highesy peaks.

The snow brings with it cloudy day for much of the island, particularly over northern parts.

More clouds are expected over the mountains and foothills which will likely bring rain and even isolated storms, with the chance of hail.

Temperatures will drop to a little lower than the average for the time of year, reaching 17C in Nicosia, 18C in the coasts and 2C on the mountains.

On Sunday the weather will start fine with clouds developing in the afternoon although there is little chance of rain.

Temperatures will climb slightly at the beginning of next week, again with a small chance of rain.
