Kelly Clarkson Says 'American Idol' Lied About Her Winner Prize, Reveals She Never Got the Car
Kelly Clarkson is exposing American Idol!
The original Idol winner revealed during an interview with The Traitors Season 4 winner Rob Rausch on her show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, that she never got the prize she was promised for winning the OG reality TV show.
“So you’re, is it $220,800 richer now?” she asked.

“They still haven’t paid me,” he revealed.
Kelly then got riled up, revealing what happened to her after her September 2002 win.
“This is…I relate to this so hardcore. Whenever I won, you probably weren’t even alive when I was on American Idol…but I literally was on the show and they were like ‘you win a million dollars.’ No you didn’t. They lied,” she said.
“It was like a million dollars worth of investment in you. And then they said you get a car. And I needed it because my car was bashed in, and I couldn’t afford a deductible. And then…no! I did not get a car! And then Clay Aiken, who didn’t win the second season, got a car. And his mom! I remember Clay telling me that the second season. I was like ‘I’m gonna actually kick your a– right now.’” Watch her explain above!
