Dezeen Showroom New Releases newsletter includes sculptural lamp

Barcelona lighting brand Marset simplified a table lamp's constituent parts – base, body and shade – and rendered them in painted steel and opal polycarbonate, a milky-white, translucent material used in glazing for its durability. The resulting piece is named Gambosa.

The lamps are among five pieces featured in this instalment of the quarterly newsletter, within which Dezeen's Showroom editor curates a selection of furnishings we've published on the section over the course of the preceding season.

Other pieces featured in this issue of the newsletter include a new edition of a 1980s-era task chair featuring a panel of reclaimed vintage textile, tiles containing demolition waste, new metallic finishes for a sand dune-informed pendant light and a T-shaped work table with hidden electrical outlets.
