State of Texas: Rising cost of oil hits Texans at the gas pump

Many Texans are starting to feel the effect of rapidly rising gasoline prices. According to AAA, the statewide average price for a gallon of gas reached $3.29 as of Friday. That’s up sharply from $2.87 a week ago and well above the $2.55 Texans were paying a month ago — nearly a 30% increase.
