Kurt Russell and Matthew Fox’s characters are killed in the first episode
Kurt‘s character Preston and his brother Paul, played by Matthew, are killed in a plane crash in the first episode.
That being said, both actors will continue to appear throughout season one in flashback scenes.
“I didn’t expect it to happen so soon,” Kurt told USA Today. “I thought, ‘How is this love story going to work between two people when you killed (Preston) off in Episode 1?’”
Matthew joked about being in another plane crash show after rising to fame on Lost. He told The Post, “Yeah, I don’t know. I seem to be subconsciously drawn to [plane crashes]. Maybe it’s because I’m a pilot in my life, and I’m kind of getting that out of the way fictionally.”
