Miles Caton Performs 'I Lied to You' From 'Sinners' at Oscars 2026 With Brittany Howard, Shaboozey & More

Miles Caton took the stage at the 2026 Oscars for a powerful musical moment.

The Sinners star performed the original song “I Lied to You” during the ceremony on Sunday (March 15) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Miles, who made his acting debut in Sinners, performed the song live on stage after learning to play guitar for the role in the film.

The performance recreated the musical energy as seen in the movie, featuring several artists from different generations: musicians including Alice Smith, Brittany Howard, Shaboozey, and legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy all joined the performance.

Additional artists including Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Raphael Saadiq and Raphael Thomas were also part of the moment, as well as dancer Misty Copeland.

“This Sinners moment explores the role music plays in the film’s storytelling and translates this into a cinematic live moment on the Oscars stage,” ABC declared. Watch the performance above, and read the lyrics for the Best Original Song nominee.

The Oscars ceremony is being hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien for the second year in a row. Sinners broke a record for most nominations for a movie in a single year, with 16 nods. Check out the full list of nominees!
