Strait of Hormuz watch: Naval escorts will not guarantee safe passage, IMO chief says
The head of the International Maritime Organization has stated that naval escorts will not fully guarantee the safety of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Military aid is not a long-term or sustainable answer for keeping the strait open. This is according to Arsenio Dominguez speaking to the Financial Times. The organization seeks other solutions.
