Ryan Gosling Still Holds Hope For 'Ghost Rider' Project With Marvel, Confirms He's Had Discussions

Ryan Gosling is sharing an update on the possibility of him playing Ghost Rider in an upcoming project for Marvel.

The 45-year-old Project Hail Mary star first revealed he was interested in portraying the character back in 2022, and Marvel boss Kevin Feigeteased he’d love to have him.

Now, Ryan is opening up about the role and confirmed there have been discussions!

“I don’t know what to say,” Ryan shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “We’ll keep hope alive.”

“Some discussions have been had. It’s a complicated situation,” he added.

Host Josh Horowitz then asked why Ghost Rider.

“Just a feeling,” Ryan replied.

If you recall, Ryan‘s longtime partner Eva Mendes has actually been in a Ghost Rider movie. She co-starred as Roxanne Simpson alongside Nicolas Cage in the 2007 movie.

A few years ago, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige reacted to Ryan expressing interest in playing Ghost Rider.

“Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider…” he said.

He continued, “Gosling’s unbelievable. Ryan is amazing…I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU. He’s dressed up as Ken on Venice Beach and gets more press than giant movies coming out that weekend. It’s amazing.”
