Post-production on the Heartstopper movie is complete!
While the movie wrapped filming in July 2025, writer Alice Osman just took to her Instagram on Friday (March 20) to share that “all creative work on the film is complete,” aside from quality checks and dubbing in other languages.
“The film exists!!! Joy and pain and love and fear and all that stuff! Oh my god I can’t wait for you to see this thing,” she wrote in the caption.

Alice continued, “This is just a small assortment of the people involved in post production!! There are many many more who’ve been working behind the scenes. Thank you so much to everyone for their hard work!”
She shared a group photo including herself, executive producer Patrick Walters, director Wash Westmoreland, producer Brett Thomas, post-producer Gerardine O’Flynn, head of production Nick Earnshaw, director of photography James Rhodes, and colorist Dan Moran.
“It won’t be too long before we have things to share with you… not long at all… Thank you for your patience… Heartstopper fans you are wonderful ????” she concluded.
Her final sentence makes it seem like a teaser or maybe even a trailer for Heartstopper Forever might be coming very soon. There is no release date yet, but Alice previously confirmed it won’t be out until the second half of 2026.
