Rio de Janeiro Mayor Says Chappell Roan Is Banned From Performing at Todo Mundo no Rio After Jorginho Frello's Claims
The mayor of Rio de Janeiro is reacting to the claim by Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello.
Eduardo Cavaliere took to Twitter/X to make a statement about Chappell Roan‘s security guard being rude to the athlete’s step-daughter ahead of her 2026 Lollapalooza Brazil performance in São Paulo.

“I mean that as long as I’m in charge of our city – this young lady @ChappellRoan will never perform at Todo Mundo no Rio! I doubt that Shakira @shakira @Shakira_Brasil would do that!” Eduardo shared while reposting a screenshot of Jorginho‘s statement.
The mayor then added that the soccer star’s daughter would be invited as a very special guest to the upcoming Todo Mundo no Rio, which is a series of international mega shows. Past performers include Madonna and Lady Gaga over the past two years. Shakira is set to headline this year.
“By the way, @FrelloJorginho your little one is already the guest of honor from the organization in May!” Eduardo said.

Todo Mundo no Rio, which is a free concert taking place on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began in 2024 with Madonna, which drew a record audience of 1.6 million people. Gaga‘s performance the following year drew 2.5 million!
The annual event is, at least, slated to continue every through the end of Eduardo‘s term in 2028.
