Morning Briefing: Former Mets Learn Roster Fates

Good morning, Mets fans!

As Opening Day nears, some former Mets learned their roster fates recently.

Right-handed pitcher and former Met dealt in the Freddy Peralta trade, Brandon Sproat, made the Brewers’ roster.

Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reported that the Chicago Cubs have added Michael Conforto to their Opening Day roster.

The Nationals announced that they released Drew Smith.

Per Scott Merkin of MLB.com, the Chicago White Sox informed outfielder Jarred Kelenic and catcher Drew Romo that neither will make the 26-man roster.

Daniel Alvarez-Montes noted that former Mets infielder J.D. Davis is in agreement with the Tecolotes de Los Dos Laredos of the Mexican League.
