First Look: Brooks Nader, Livvy Dunne and Hassie Harrison in Iconic Red Swimsuits as Baywatch Reboot Kicks Off

The Baywatch reboot is officially underway, and the first photos from the set are exactly what fans have been waiting for.

The cast of the highly anticipated reboot was spotted filming scenes on Venice Beach this week, sporting the show's iconic red one-piece swimsuits as they hit the sand for the first time. Brooks Nader, Hassie Harrison, Livvy Dunne, Shay Mitchell, Noah Beck, Stephen Amell, and Jessica Belkin were all photographed running on the beach, performing action sequences, and dramatically emerging from the ocean, bringing the classic Baywatch energy back to life more than two decades after the original series ended.

Hassie Harrison in 'Baywatch'

Hassie Harrison, best known to audiences as Laramie on Yellowstone, was one of the most photographed cast members on day one. The actress was caught mid-leap over a surfboard as she sprinted across the sand in her red swimsuit — presumably racing to save a life in true Baywatch fashion. Harrison's casting is one of the more surprising elements of the reboot, bringing a devoted Yellowstone fanbase to a show that already has its own massive built-in following.

Shay Mitchell Stuns During Slow-Mo Run on 'Baywatch' Set

Shay Mitchell, meanwhile, was photographed doing the thing that made Baywatch famous in the first place — the slow-motion beach run. Mitchell has been vocal about her excitement for the role, posting a selfie on Instagram in her red one-piece with the caption "quick selfie before getting knocked by the waves," along with a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos. "Just keeping the grid strong before other shots humble me again," she wrote.

Livvy Dunne and Noah Beck Get Sudsy During a Car Wash Scene

Former LSU gymnastics star Livvy Dunne and Noah Beck (among others) were spotted filming what appeared to be a car wash scene — already one of the more talked-about moments from opening day on set. Dunne, who announced her casting earlier this month, kept things characteristically light on Instagram. "I'm not a lifeguard, but I play one on TV," she wrote.

'Baywatch' Welcomes Brooks Nader

Brooks Nader, who leads the reboot as a character named Selene, shared a photo of a lifeguard tower on Instagram with the caption "office for the next few months." The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and cover star posted a photo of her 2023 SI Swimsuit cover — in which she happened to be wearing a red swimsuit — with the caption "I've been manifesting this for a minute." She told Entertainment Tonight ahead of filming: "I know I'm ready. I'm excited to step into this and maybe, hopefully, shock people with what I can do."

The original Baywatch aired for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001, starring Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff and becoming one of the most watched television shows in history. Carmen Electra, who appeared in later seasons, said Nader is "absolutely" a good fit for the reboot.

No premiere date has been announced.
