While Battling Lindsey Graham for His Senate Seat on the Campaign Trail, Project 2025 Architect Paul Dans and Wife Mary Helen Welcome Their Fifth Child

In a heartwarming display of family that perfectly embodies conservative values, Republican Senate candidate Paul Dans and his wife, renowned ballerina and fitness entrepreneur Mary Helen Bowers, have welcomed their fifth child, as he continues to meet with voters across South Carolina in his primary challenge to warmongering Senator Lindsey Graham.

Baby Filomena Helen Dans arrived on Saturday and is the couple’s fourth daughter.

Mary Helen, who runs the popular Ballet Beautiful program and previously danced with the New York City Ballet, shared the news on social media, gushing that “Family is everything.”

The new baby may make campaigning a bit more challenging, but she also highlights her father’s powerful contrast with childless Graham, who recently appeared on national television, declaring he would head back to South Carolina to personally convince constituents to “send their sons and daughters to the Mideast” amid escalating conflict with Iran.

When asked by The Gateway Pundit what it is like having a new baby while on the campaign trail, Dans explained, “I will preserve a future for my children and all the children of South Carolina. There’s no better place to have one to draw that contrast with childless wannabe President Lindsey Graham, who barely registered 1% of the vote when he did run for President. It’s actually the perfect time to have a kid. It’s a sharp reminder of who and what I’m fighting for during this campaign, and that’s the future of South Carolina. It starts with how we look after our own children.”

His reaction to Graham’s vow to send South Carolina’s children off to war, Dans explained, “is the same reaction I have to anything that comes out of Lady Graham’s mouth: he’s completely out of touch with the people of South Carolina. Graham and 90% of the Senate are completely occupied with foreign interests and influence. The Great Pat Buchanan used to talk about that. It’s really easy for Lady G to ask South Carolinians to send their sons and daughters to fight and die in the Middle East because he’s got neither a son nor a daughter to chip into the fight that he demands our children participate in.”

Of course, Graham wants your kids to die in Iran, while he sits safely in Washington with no skin in the game.

Dans is the exact opposite.

A devoted husband and father of five, Dans is running on an explicitly America First platform to end endless wars, slash the $35 trillion national debt, and restore faith-based values in government.

“Whether its education for reindustrialization, putting a high-tech shop class back into every middle and high school so that our kids can learn robotics or HVAC, or whether it’s passing a 21st Century Homesteading act that re-engineers American farming away from illegal immigrants and invasive pesticides, all of my policies are geared towards the future of South Carolina, because unlike Lady Graham I have a stake in the future of South Carolina,” Dans told The Gateway Pundit.

As the chief architect of Project 2025, which struck fear into the hearts of the left, and a former Trump administration official, Dans knows exactly how to drain the swamp and put American families ahead of globalist entanglements.

Dans’ campaign website explains, “Precious American blood and trillions of dollars in American treasure has been wasted on the other side of the world by our corrupt ruling class. I will always put AMERICANS FIRST, not the interests of the lobbying arms of foreign powers. We must be extremely judicious when exercising the power of the American military. I have always opposed foreign adventurism and will continue to do so – I will never take money from ANY foreign lobbies and interests. As your next US Senator, I pledge to vote responsibly and reign in the military industrial complex.”

Additionally, Dans has vowed to work to “obliterate” the Deep State.

“I am going to destroy the Uniparty and put democracy back in the bureaucracy. The Deep State is real—and it’s out of control. From targeting conservative parents to censoring free speech, unaccountable federal agencies are working against the will of the people. I have spent years battling the administrative state. As Trump’s top personnel official and architect of Project 2025, I laid the groundwork to fire the entrenched insiders and bring transparency to D.C. Lindsey has gone soft—more interested in TV hits than taking on the FBI and DOJ. I will work closely with President Trump to put the people back in charge. As your next US Senator and chief Swamp Drainer, I pledge to never bend the knee to the Uniparty.”

“God, country, and family,” Dans has repeatedly said, and he’s living it.

While Graham lectures South Carolinians about sacrificing their children for his forever-war fantasies, Dans is raising strong conservative kids and fighting to bring our troops home so future generations don’t have to bleed for Beltway neocons.

This primary challenge is shaping up to be a referendum on the Republican Party’s soul in South Carolina.

On one side, we have Graham, the childless career politician who never met a war he didn’t like.

On the other hand, Dans, the family man, is ready to send Graham packing back to the retirement he’s long overdue for.

Dans joined the Trump administration in 2019 as a senior advisor in the Office of Community Planning and Development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The following year, he became the White House liaison and senior advisor at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), later serving as the chief of staff.

Later, he served as Director of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project at The Heritage Foundation.

“My policy platform is simple: new ideas. Crackdown on inner city crime. We’re gonna make Myrtle Beach safe again. We’re gonna train our kids for the 4th Industrial Revolution. We’re gonna clean up American farming. Make it local, affordable, and healthy,” Dans said.
