Tony Nominee Jasmine Amy Rogers Proves Her True Versatility While Starring in 'Spelling Bee' & 'Wild Party' Musicals Simultaneously!
While making her Broadway debut in the musical Boop last year, Jasmine Amy Rogers stopped the show with her incredible opening number “A Little Versatility” and now she’s proving that a little versatility truly never hurts.
If there was an award for the most versatile actor of the season, Jasmine would be winning that for her simultaneous work in the musicals The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Wild Party.
Jasmine has been leading the Off-Broadway musical Spelling Bee as Olive Ostrovsky, a shy young girl who is a newcomer to competitive spelling, and she is currently on a two-week break from the show to play Vaudeville showgirl Queenie in New York City Center’s Encores production of The Wild Party.

The New York Times raved about Jasmine‘s performance in the Bee, saying that her rendition of “‘The I Love You Song’ is the emotional peak of the show, and very possible of this fall season.”
Of her performance in The Wild Party, TheaterMania raved that she “proves she is more than ready to take on more three-dimensional characters. Her Queenie is the dazzling star of the party, an ostensible cynic who still dreams of genuine connection.”
How many other actors can say they played a school-age child in one show and then days later transformed into a sexy showgirl for a completely different show?! The way she transitioned from one character into the next, while giving award-worthy performances in both musicals, proves she’s one of the most exciting stars around right now.
