James Franco Makes Rare Public Appearance for 'Hey Joe' Premiere

James Franco is hitting the red carpet.

The 47-year-old Oscar-nominated actor made a rare public appearance at the premiere of his new movie Hey Joe on Sunday night (March 22) held at Look Cinemas in Glendale, Calif.

For the event, James sported a black coat over a gray graphic T-shirt paired with black pants.

Keep reading to find out more…Directed by Claudio Giovannesi, the movie “follows Dean Barry (Franco), an American WWII veteran who returns to Naples in the early 1970s after learning he has a son he has never met,” according to Deadline.

Francesco Di Napoli co-stars as Enzo, Dean’s estranged son, alongside Giulia Ercolini, Aniello Arena and Giada Savi.

The movie premiered at the Rome Film Festival in 2024 and was theatrically in Italy shortly after. It was just released in the United States in select theaters on March 20.
