Trump Says He's 'Looking for Heavyset Gentleman' in Crowd While Describing JD Vance, Then Implies He's Unrecognizable

Donald Trump made a series of surprising comments about JD Vance‘s body.

On Wednesday (April 1), the president sought out his vice president in a crowd while speaking at a White House lunch for Easter.

“Is JD here? Where is JD?” the 79-year-old Republican asked at one point, finally noticing Vance.

Trump then explained that he’d had a hard time finding him as he was “looking for a heavyset gentleman,” seemingly implying that the 41-year-old politician was now unrecognizable.

Trump referenced the vice president several more times throughout his speech.

In one instance, he said that Vance had been assigned to work on fraud, adding, “JD’s either going to be the greatest guy or we’re going to hit him hard if he doesn’t.”

In another remark while seemingly alluding to talks with Iran, Trump asked, “How’s that moving? Is it okay? The big deal. You see it happening?”

“If it doesn’t happen, I’m blaming JD Vance. If it does happen, I’m taking full credit,” the president said.

Reuters noted that the vice president has been speaking to intermediaries, with the outlet reporting that he’s taken on an “expanded role” in trying to end the war that the president launched via a series of strikes on February 28.

The vice president recently made some very unexpected remarks about aliens.
