Coach from Kazakhstan reenacts a scene from "Despicable Me”

Tengrinews.kz - The video, in which karate and jiu-jitsu coach from Almaty Dauren repeated a popular scene from the cartoon film "Despicable Me" collected almost 5 million views.

In the video, a 28-year-old karate and jiu-jitsu coach from Almaty named Dauren says goodbye and kisses his students in the same way as the main character of the movie Gru does with his minions. He said that he was inspired to make the video by the similarity with the character from the famous cartoon.

"When I saw this moment from 'Despicable Me', I recognised myself, as my students and I said goodbye in the same way. The clip resonated on social networks because people see the sincere happiness on the children's faces," he said.

Dauren said he regularly uses creativity in his training sessions to keep his charges interested and motivated.

“I use different methods in training to make it interesting for the kids. We often hold classes in a game form. We organise summer camps, picnics, outdoor training and games after competitions. We hold both general and individual discussions. I encourage kids with toys, teenagers with cash prizes for spectacular fights. After the competition we have tea parties, discuss training plans, and at the end of the year we present medals and certificates to motivate them," said the coach.

Dauren plans to continue making positive videos and draw inspiration from viewers' comments.

"I read almost every comment. They inspire and motivate me. It's never too late to start training, even if you think it's too late," Dauren said.
