Pavel Durov reveals he's the biological father of over 100 children

Tengrinews.kz - Pavel Durov, the creator of VKontakte and Telegram, has revealed that he is the biological father of more than 100 children.

"I've just been told I have over 100 biological children. How is that possible for a guy who has never been married and prefers to live alone?" he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Durov, 15 years ago, a friend approached him with an unusual request. The friend and his wife were unable to have children and asked Durov to be a sperm donor at a clinic so they could have a baby. Initially, Durov laughed it off but soon realized his friend was completely serious.

The clinic director mentioned that "high-quality donor material" was in short supply and that it was a civic duty to help more couples anonymously.

Durov clarified that his donor material has helped over 100 couples in 12 countries to have children. Many years after he stopped being a donor, at least one clinic still retains his biomaterial.

"Now I plan to open access to my DNA so that my biological children can more easily find each other. Of course there are risks, but I don't regret being a donor," he said.

The businessman wants to popularise the idea of donation and motivate more healthy men to do it.
