COVID-19 cases in Almaty doubled in a week

Tengrinews.kz - The incidence of coronavirus for the last seven days has increased in Almaty, according to Asel Kalykova, the Deputy Head of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the city.
Kalykova says, epidemiological surveillance is being conducted for ARVI and influenza, which includes laboratory testing for COVID-19.

"The issue of early detection of coronavirus has not been relaxed; surveillance is conducted everywhere. Since the beginning of January, Almaty has registered 302 laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus among the population. In the past seven days, there have been 9 cases, which is twice the number of cases identified in the previous week," she said.
