President Tokayev met with the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan

Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, according to the press service of Akorda.
The head of state thanked Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for participating in the opening of the 5th World Nomad Games and noted that the Chairman's visit to Astana strengthens bilateral cooperation. The President emphasized the successful development of Kazakh-Turkmen relations, which correspond to the level of strategic partnership.

In turn, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the traditionally warm welcome and wished for the successful conduct of the large-scale sporting event. The Turkmen national leader noted the significant role of Astana in organizing major international events, which contribute to enhancing the country's reputation on the global stage.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements in trade and economic, energy, and transport-logistics spheres, noting their successful execution. They also focused on strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties and preparing for the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan in October.
Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
