Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Astana

Tengrinews.kz – Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Astana for a state visit at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
President Tokayev personally welcomed President Putin at the capital's airport, where a guard of honor was arranged in recognition of the visiting leader.

Children holding the flags of Kazakhstan and Russia greeted the Russian delegation, reciting poems as a gesture of friendship between the two nations.

In a unique cultural exchange, Kazakh artist Asel Sabyrzhankyzy (Assol) presented an ongoing painting that she began creating during Putin's flight to Astana. The artist invited both leaders to contribute to the artwork, which will later be gifted to President Putin upon the conclusion of his visit.

Putin’s visit features high-level negotiations and participation in the 20th Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia via video conference.
The forum aims to deepen collaboration across various sectors.
Additionally, on November 28, Astana will host a session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council, chaired by President Tokayev. Delegates will address pressing regional and international security issues, with several documents expected to be adopted following the discussions.
