56 accused of serious crimes extradited to Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan has received 56 individuals accused of serious and particularly serious crimes. This was reported by Kazakhstan’s General Prosecutor Berik Asylov on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
"Thanks to international cooperation efforts, this year alone, foreign countries have extradited 56 individuals to us, accused of serious and particularly serious crimes. We will continue working in this direction to ensure the inevitability of punishment and the principle of 'Law and Order'," Asylov wrote.
The General Prosecutor also mentioned that Kazakhstan has signed a relevant agreement with Morocco.
"We have concluded agreements with Morocco. The number of countries with which we have agreements in the criminal law field is expanding every year. In total, we have signed 82 agreements with 37 countries in this area," he stated.
As a reminder, in early November, a suspect in a serious crime was extradited from Russia to Kazakhstan. A few days later, the wanted Kazakhstani national was extradited from Turkey.
