Mikel Arteta opens up on what Arsenal must get right to win the league
Mikel Arteta has made it clear that no one wants to deliver the Premier League title for Arsenal more than he does.
The Arsenal manager believes his personal drive is unmatched as his side continue their push at the top of the table.
Arsenal have narrowly missed out on the league crown for three straight seasons, finishing just short each time.
This season, however, the Gunners find themselves leading the table ahead of Manchester City at a crucial stage. That position has only increased Arteta’s determination to guide the club to league success finally.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Arteta openly shared his strong desire to go all the way this season. He stressed that his level of hunger and focus cannot be questioned during this title race.
“I don’t think anybody has more motivation, more hunger, more desire for us to go all the way and win it (than me).”
Arteta stresses focus over pressure
Arteta went on to explain that desire alone will not be enough to secure the Premier League title. He believes success will only come through his players’ focus, discipline, and constant improvement.
The Spaniard pointed out that Arsenal must stay grounded and avoid distractions during the final stretch.
He insisted that his team must focus only on what they can control each day.
“But we know that the only way to do it is to focus, be present in the moment, and everything that we have done today, do it better tomorrow.”
He underlined that small improvements can make a big difference over the course of a long season.
The Arsenal manager also warned against allowing outside noise to affect his team’s mindset.
“That’s it and that’s the only thing that we can control. The rest doesn’t add any value to us and it can take our focus to the wrong place.”
Emirates clash adds to the challenge
The fixture presents another important test as the Gunners look to protect their position at the top. Arteta will be aiming to keep his players sharp and fully focused for the challenge ahead.
Every point matters at this stage, with little room for mistakes or dropped standards. The match also carries extra importance as Arsenal chase their first Premier League title in 22 years.
