Arsenal star makes bold quadruple claim after FA Cup win vs Wigan

Arsenal forward Noni Madueke has spoken about the club’s ambition to compete strongly across all competitions this season.

The winger shared his thoughts after Arsenal secured a 4-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth round.

Madueke opened the scoring in a comfortable win that underlined the team’s current form and confidence.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, he reflected on both his goal and the team’s display.

On his goal, he said: “I thank God for the goal and the win. That’s my job, to try and help the team. That’s my focus and when we win it’s much better than when we drew like the other day.”

His strike set the tone early and Arsenal never looked back from that point.

The result also offered a strong response following their recent 1-1 draw against Brentford in the Premier League.

Eze shines after Brentford criticism

Much of the post-match talk centred around Eberechi Eze, who delivered an impressive performance in midfield.

Eze had faced criticism after struggling in the Brentford match, where his display fell short of expectations.

Against Wigan, he answered those doubts in style with two assists and a commanding presence in the centre.

Madueke was full of praise for his team-mate and highlighted his influence on the game.

On Eze’s performance, he added: “He was unbelievable today, pulled all the strings from the middle and had a hand in all the goals. Really pleased for him.”

Arsenal targets success on four fronts

Madueke also addressed the growing excitement among supporters about the club’s pursuit of multiple trophies.

Arsenal are currently competing strongly in four competitions and remain in a promising position.

On fighting for trophies on four fronts:

“They [the fans] have every right to be (excited). We’re working hard to deliver the type of season I think it ought to be, with the way that we’re playing right now. That’s our main focus. I think it’s exciting, but we need to carry on doing the things we’re doing every single day and see where we are at the end.”

The Gunners sit top of the Premier League, holding a four-point lead over Manchester City.

They have also reached the Carabao Cup final and progressed to the round of 16 in the Champions League.

With their current form and squad quality, Mikel Arteta’s side will aim to turn promise into silverware.

The belief within the camp is clear, but the focus remains on daily work and steady progress.
