New direct flights from Kazakhstan to several countries to be launched
Tengrinews.kz – Starting from March 2026, new international flights will begin operating from Kazakhstan. The schedule includes routes to countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. The flights will be operated by both Kazakh and foreign airlines.
Which flights will launch in spring
According to the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee (CAC), some of the first new routes will be flights to Salalah (Jordan) from Almaty and Astana, which Air Astana plans to start on 9 March.
From 17 March, FlyArystan passengers will be able to fly from Almaty to Samarkand. From 29 March, SCAT Airlines will launch the Shymkent–Bishkek route, and Air Astana will open the Almaty–Shanghai route.
SCAT will also begin operating flights from Shymkent to Novosibirsk (Russia) starting 19 May. LOT Polish Airlines will open the Almaty–Warsaw route from 31 May.
Where passengers will be able to fly
In addition, SCAT is opening several routes from Shymkent:
St. Petersburg (Russia) – from 1 June;
Tel Aviv (Israel) – from 9 June.
Air Astana will launch flights from Almaty and Astana:
Astana – Guangzhou (China) – from 2 June;
Almaty – Larnaca (Cyprus) – from 2 June to 5 September (seasonal);Astana – Larnaca (Cyprus) – from 4 June to 6 September (seasonal);Almaty – Dalaman (Turkey) – to be operated during the spring–summer navigation period.
“Furthermore, the possibility of opening the Almaty–Tokyo (Japan) route in 2026 is being considered,” the CAC noted.
FlyArystan will also launch several new destinations:
Almaty – Xi’an (China) – in June (slot approval pending);Aktau – Ürümqi (China) – in June.
“It is also planned to open the Almaty–Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) route,” the agency added.
Among foreign carriers, the following flights are planned:
Air Arabia Dammam — Almaty to Dammam (Saudi Arabia);Royal Jordanian — Almaty to Amman (Jordan).
