Haas lines up Bearman and Fittipaldi for post-British GP tyre test
Haas has assigned Ollie Bearman and Pietro Fittipaldi to a Pirelli tyre test that will take place next week at Silverstone, giving its future and present drivers a chance to put more F1 mileage under their belt.
Fittipaldi, who currently competes in the NTT IndyCar Series with Rahal Letterman Lanigan, has been Haas’ test driver since 2019.
The Brazilian assumed reserve duties for the US outfit the following year, replacing an injured Romain Grosjean at Sakhir and Abu Dhabi at the end of 2020.
“I’m super excited to be testing for MoneyGram Haas F1 Team in the Pirelli Tyre Test, as it’s important to understand different compounds”, said Fittipaldi.
“It’s always a privilege to drive a Formula 1 car, and even more so to assist MoneyGram Haas F1 Team in its development.
“As we’ve seen, they’ve been doing a really great job currently with development, and I want to use this track time to help extrapolate as much data as I can for the team.”
Haas says that Ronan O’Hare, Performance Engineer for Nico Hulkenberg and Laura Mueller, Performance Engineer for Kevin Magnussen, will both act as Race Engineers for Fittipaldi and Bearman respectively.

This weekend at Silverstone, Bearman took part in his second FP1 session with Haas, continuing to build his experience and rapport with the team.
His progression from the junior ranks to a full-time Formula 1 seat - as announced earlier this week - underscores Haas' commitment to nurturing young talent.
“I will take any opportunity to get behind the VF-24, so after two free practices in close succession with the team, it’s a rare and fantastic opportunity to get a full day of running,” added the 19-year-old.
“I’m in a good rhythm with the team and next week – hopefully aided by good weather conditions – will let me expand my knowledge of driving a Formula 1 car ahead of my first season as a full-time driver.”
