Kazakhstan's largest family welcomes 19th child
Tengrinews.kz - In Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan, the Kultychev family, known for being the largest family in the country, has welcomed their 19th child.
"On August 6th, the Kultychevs welcomed their 19th child, a baby girl weighing 4,250 grams and measuring 56 centimeters. This is truly a remarkable event that fills hearts with joy and happiness," said the perinatal center.
The baby girl and her mother are currently in the hospital, both in good health.
The Kultychev family now includes 10 boys and 9 girls. The parents, Pavel and Tatyana, are also grandparents, as their eldest daughter has become a mother herself. Pavel and Tatyana married in 2000 after meeting in church. At that time, Pavel was 22 years old and Tatyana was 19. Their first child was born when Tatyana was 20 years old. Their eldest children are now Inna, 23, Lena, 21, Vladimir, 20, and Evgeny, 19. The older children help their father with his business.
Pavel works as an individual entrepreneur, engaging in a variety of tasks including welding, gate and fence construction, transportation, car repairs, and agricultural work.
The rest of the children include Irina, 18, Dmitry, 17, Pavel, 15, Tatyana, 14, Andrei, 12, Leonid, 11, and Sergey, 10.
The family gained national attention in 2016 when their 12th child, Danil, was born. Since then, they have added five more children: Alena, 7, Diana, 6, Lyubov, 5, Vlad, 4, and David, 3. This year, they welcomed another baby girl.
Pavel, who himself comes from a large family of eight siblings, and Tatyana, from a smaller family of three, maintain a close-knit and supportive household. Their children learn to share and support each other from a young age, contributing to a well-rounded and harmonious family life.
Pavel Kultychev previously shared that he has faced stereotypes about large families being less fortunate.
"Large families used to be the normal, but now it's often seen as unusual. We live better than our parents and grandparents did. I don't understand how one could refuse such happiness. When I come home, all the children hug and kiss me. Our children are well-mannered, kind, and not spoiled. Those who know our family can attest to that. With many children, they learn to be friends, share, and help each other from a young age," Pavel said.
