Excavator plunges into river with driver inside in Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - An excavator fell off a bridge into a river in Almaty Region during the night, with the driver needing rescue, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The incident occurred in the Raiymbek District, where heavy rain caused the driver to lose control, leading to the excavator overturning and plunging into the river.
Rescuers provided a ladder and assisted the 52-year-old man in climbing back onto the bridge. Fortunately, the driver did not require medical assistance.

"I was driving from Zharbulak and reached the bridge. A heavy rain started, and I couldn’t see anything. The excavator overturned into the Bayankol River. I barely managed to get out of the cabin and sat on top, shouting for help. Thankfully, the Raiymbek District rescuers arrived in time," driver shared his experience.
