Kazakh soldier sustained a head injury during military and became disabled

Tengrinews.kz – The press service of the National Guard commented on the situation involving a serviceman who received a head injury while on duty in the army.
Tengrinews.kz requested comments from the National Guard press service regarding the video about soldier Yerbayan Mukhtar. He voluntarily joined the army but is now in the hospital and has been in a coma for over six months. Yerbayan Mukhtar sustained a head injury while on duty in the army. Currently, he cannot speak, eat, or breathe independently.

“A criminal case of the injury of Private Mukhtar was opened under Article 440 'Violation of statutory rules governing relations between servicemen, resulting in severe injury' of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Expert examinations have been appointed, and the investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Minister of Internal Affairs,” the National Guard press service said.

The department also stated that after completing rehabilitation treatment, "at the insistence of Yerbayan Mukhtar’s parents, he was discharged home." The issue of granting disability status to the young man is being addressed.

“The Main Command of the National Guard has sent inquiries to several medical institutions and the Turkish embassy for consultations and to consider the issue of hospitalization,” the National Guard press service reported.
