President Tokayev sent words of support to the members of the Paralympic team
Tengrinews.kz - Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev conveyed President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's support to the athletes and coaches of the Kazakhstan National Paralympic Team and met with them in the Paralympic Village.
Maulen Ashimbayev congratulated the Paralympians on their earned licenses and their inclusion in the Kazakhstan team, highlighting their perseverance and skill. He emphasized Kazakhstan's priority on supporting citizens with disabilities.
"I want to convey the sincere support of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the Paralympians. Your perseverance and hard work cannot be overlooked. Winning 33 spots for Paris and the successes in para-canoeing and para-table tennis reflect a high level of preparation. All Kazakhstanis will be watching your performances and supporting you on your path to victory. May Paris remember you as true heroes!” Maulen Ashimbayev stated.
The President of the Kazakhstan Boccia Federation reviewed the conditions for parasport athletes and discussed with Jon Morgan, President of the International Boccia Federation, the organization of qualification competitions for boccia in Astana next year. The results of these competitions will impact the global rankings.
On that day, Maulen Ashimbayev also met with Majid Rashed, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, to discuss joint projects and the development of the Paralympic movement in Central Asia. Additionally, he held a meeting with Chungwon Choue, President of the World Taekwondo Federation.
