One child killed and three injured in Mangystau Region car accident
Tengrinews.kz - On September 2, a car accident in the Mangystau region resulted in the death of one child and injuries to three others.
According to preliminary information, the driver of a Toyota Estima lost control while driving on the Aktau – Fort-Shevchenko highway, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire.
A child died in the accident, and seven others, including three children, were injured. The adults did not sustain serious injuries and were sent home after being examined.
"Children born in 2016, 2015, and 2019 were taken to the Mangystau Regional Children's Hospital. Two of the injured are in stable condition with bruises and concussions, while the third child, who is in intensive care, had to have their right forearm amputated," the hospital staff told Lada.kz.
The Mangystau Regional Police Department informed Tengrinews.kz that a criminal case has been opened regarding the accident.
"A thorough investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident," the police added. "We urge drivers to be vigilant and cautious on the roads. Please do not exceed the speed limit and avoid distractions while driving."
