Airplane landed on the road in Stepnogorsk: will the pilot be punished

Tengrinews.kz - The Civil Aviation Committee commented on the incident involving the plane that landed on a roadway in Stepnogorsk. The committee revealed whether they plan to punish the pilot.
Earlier, it was reported that a resident of Akmola region filmed a small aircraft landing on the road right in front of him. The Civil Aviation Committee confirmed this fact and provided details.

"On September 10, 2024, an amateur pilot with a valid private pilot’s license for the TL-2000 ultralight aircraft of general aviation made a landing on a section of a little-used road near Stepnogorsk. According to available information, the landing was made due to the inability to land on a wet dirt ground near the road," the committee reported.

It is clarified that after a brief stop, the aircraft returned to its base aerodrome.

"The pilot's actions revealed signs of violations related to insufficient training for landing on sites selected from the air. After a detailed review of all the circumstances of JSC Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan and the Civil Aviation Committee will take measures to hold the operator accountable in accordance with the law," the committee reported.

The agency also stated that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
