Kazakh entrepreneur establishes camel milk export to China and the Middle East

Tengrinews.kz - A businessman from the village of Akshi in the Almaty region has set up the export of camel milk to markets in China and the Middle East, citing 24.kz.
His farming enterprise in the Ili district produces up to five tons of camel milk daily and around 15 tons of powdered shubat (camel milk) each month. Half of the production is exported abroad, while the rest is sold on the domestic market.
Sydyk Dauletov, the head of the farm, moved with his family from Karakalpakstan in the 1990s. Initially, to make ends meet, he even sold homemade manty at an Almaty flea market. Later, he invested his modest savings in purchasing three camels and began developing his own business. Today, nearly a quarter of a century later, he is among the successful entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan.

"Fossil resources will run out, regardless of whether it happens in 10 or 100 years. Therefore, we need to transition from 'black gold' to 'white gold.' 'White gold' refers to the riches found in Kazakhstan, and we must use them efficiently. This includes agriculture, both livestock breeding and crop farming," says entrepreneur Sydyk Dauletov.

Three years ago, he built a dry camel milk production plant in Akshi.

"It attracted investments of 1.2 billion tenge and established a factory in our village. They process camel milk and export it in powdered form. Currently, products are supplied to China, and about a ton of dry milk is sent to Arab countries," said Tolegen Omarov, the akim of the Kurty rural district.

Sydyk Dauletov started his business 23 years ago with three camels. Today, his farm has grown to 7,500 heads. However, the entrepreneur does not intend to stop there - he plans to increase the herd to 15,000. This will make his camel breeding farm one of the largest in the region.
