Orphaned fawn joins sheep herd in East Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - In East Kazakhstan, a shepherd noticed an unusual addition to his flock of sheep - an orphaned fawn that had joined them. People rescued the wild animal, citing YK-news.kz.
The fawn was taken to the regional natural-landscape and architectural-ethnographic museum-reserve.

"The fawn was very weak. Likely, its mother died under some circumstances," the museum-reserve staff reported.

Zoo employees in Ust-Kamenogorsk managed to nurse the little one back to health.

"We fed it as best as we could, giving it goat's milk, cow's milk, and calf formulas," the museum-reserve shared.

Currently, the fawn has been moved to an enclosure. However, the information about the new resident at the zoo has not been publicized yet, as the animal needs time to adapt.
