Kazakhstan plans to expand cooperation with Iran
Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan plans to expand cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The deputies of the Mazhilis have adopted the bill for consideration.
The Mazhilis members intend to ratify the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its member states on one side and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the other.
According to Nurtay Sabilyanov, the chairman of the Mazhilis Committee on Economic Reform and Regional Development, the free trade agreement between the EAEU member states on one side and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the other was signed in Saint Petersburg on December 25, 2023.
"The purpose of the agreement is to expand trade and economic cooperation, create favorable conditions for promoting goods to the partner's market, and attract investments to the EAEU countries. In this regard, the committee is ready to take this bill into consideration and prepare a conclusion on it. We ask for your support," Sabilyanov said at the plenary session of the Mazhilis.
The deputies voted to take the bill into consideration.
