President Tokayev spoke about the effectiveness of online court proceedings
Tengrinews.kz - Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the 9th Congress of Judges in Astana spoke about the effectiveness of conducting court hearings online.
The President noted that this year, two court processes were held in video format.
"This year, for the first time, court hearings were broadcasted in an online format. Court cases were conducted in the presence of millions of viewers, ensuring maximum transparency. I believe that this innovation has strengthened public trust in the judicial system and has led to increased expectations for judges and prosecutors. The parties involved in court can openly express their positions and proposals. Such a positive practice should be applied during court hearings. Another positive aspect is the growth of legal awareness among citizens," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
The Head of State also stated that this increases interest among young people in the legal profession.
"Young people have started to look up to renowned specialists from various fields of law, which promotes professionalism in society. Thus, conducting court hearings in an online format enhances the legal culture of citizens and serves the establishment of the principles of Law and Order in the country," the President added.
Previously, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has proposed optimizing Kazakhstan's court system with the help of artificial intelligence.
