Kazakh man organized an illegal migration channel to Europe

Tengrinews.kz - Illegal migration channels have been dismantled in the regions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is conducting systematic work to identify illegal migration channels to prevent the infiltration of criminal and terrorist groups, according to Polisia.kz.
In particular, as reported by Kuandyk Alpys, the representative of the Department of Combating Organized Crime of MIA, several criminal groups involved in organizing illegal migration have been disrupted by the organized crime units since the beginning of this month.

"The criminal schemes involved illegal border crossings, providing temporary residency registration services to foreigners, and issuing work permits using fake documents," he said.

In the Zhambyl region, a local resident was arrested for organizing an illegal migration channel through mountainous areas for foreign citizens aiming to earn money in EU countries.
In the Atyrau region, three foreigners were implicated in a scheme to register non-residents in Kazakhstan using counterfeit documents. During searches, foreign passports, illegal accounting records, and documentation were seized from them.
A similar criminal scheme was uncovered in Astana, where five locals were arrested for illegally processing documents for labor migrants.

"Preliminary investigations are underway for all cases. Those guilty face a prison sentence of up to seven years with asset confiscation. Work in this direction continues," noted Kuandyk Alpys.
