Putin spoke about the prospects for cooperation with Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the prospects for further cooperation with Kazakhstan at a press conference in Astana.
According to Putin, Kazakhstan and Russia have the potential to expand cooperation in the field of nuclear energy. The Russian leader also described the industrial sector as having promising opportunities.

“For instance, in the energy sector, we have traditional areas of collaboration. However, there are significant prospects for projects involving the transportation of our energy resources to third countries through Kazakhstan's territory. Traditionally, there are regions in Kazakhstan where natural gas is in short supply, while others have a surplus. It makes sense for us to combine efforts — to supply something to Kazakhstan and to receive something from Kazakhstan — given the vast territory of Kazakhstan itself and our own large territories. This turns out to be more beneficial than developing everything directly within our own borders. That’s why we are natural partners and allies," Putin noted.

The President of Russia emphasized that the countries have "very bright prospects for the future."
"Yesterday, in an informal setting over dinner, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and I spent the entire evening discussing these prospects. Let me repeat once again: I consider them to be extremely positive," Vladimir Putin concluded.
