Aktau plane crash: Emergency Ministry releases images from site

The head of the Mangystau region is at the scene. An operational headquarters has been established, and emergency and police services are carrying out rescue operations.

According to Bekbolat Izbasarov, head of the regional healthcare department, 28 people survived the crash. Of these, 26 have been transported to the regional hospital, while two children are being treated at the pediatric hospital.

A total of 62 passengers and five crew members were on board the aircraft.

The Grozny Airport press service reported that dense fog forced the plane to change its route. Initially diverted to Makhachkala, the plane was later redirected to Aktau.
Earlier, President Tokayev expressed his condolences over the plane crash in Aktau, and the Azerbaijan president released a statement about the Aktau plane crash.
