Cyberattack disrupted major Japanese airline

Tengrinews.kz - Japan Airlines (JAL), one of Japan's largest airlines, has reported a cyberattack that has caused delays to both domestic and international flights, according to Kyodo News.
Japan Airlines stated that its network, which connects internal systems with external ones, was targeted in the attack.

"JAL said the issues began around 7:25 a.m. (3:25 a.m. Astana time), causing delays of up to an hour for more than 20 domestic flights. While the airline temporarily halted ticket sales, reservations made earlier remained valid," the article noted.

The airlines added that passengers’ personal information was not leaked.
JAL announced that efforts were underway to mitigate the cyberattack and identify its origin, noting that the incident could have a broader impact on its flights.
