Skies reopen: flights resume in Iran

Tengrinews.kz – Iran has fully reopened its airspace for transit, arriving, and departing flights. The country’s airports are operating as normal, according to the Telegram channel iribnews.
The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization reported that there are currently no restrictions on flights. The country’s airspace is open both to international transit flights and to departures and arrivals.
Passengers are advised to check up-to-date information on their flights via the dedicated hotline 199 before heading to the airport.
It should be recalled that a number of airlines, including Air Astana, changed their flight routes due to the closure of Iran’s airspace.
At that time, the carrier warned passengers that flights to Sharm El Sheikh, Dubai, Doha and Medina would be operated bypassing Iran, and that departure and arrival times might be changed.
An announcement was also made by FlyArystan. The airline clarified that the situation with Iran’s airspace affected two flights scheduled for January 17, 2026:

Atyrau – Doha;
Aktau – Dubai.

The company stated that alternative routes bypassing Iranian airspace were being considered for these flights.
Passengers were advised to independently check the current status of their flights on the airline’s official website or in the mobile app.
